- How many types of food items do you provide in your tiffin? Is there any special menu for a specific day? If yes, please describe.
We provide two vegetable dishes, rice, two pieces of bread (chapatti), and one sweet dish. Yes, there is a special menu on Wednesday. This menu includes non-vegetable words and a few Italian and Chinese items. Customers can order these food items from this menu delivered from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM on this day.
- How do you plan your menu? Do seasonal food items affect the service you provide? Please explain.
The menu plans are according to food items. The most ordered items like rice, Indian curry, sweet dishes, etc., were added to the list. Yes, seasonal food items affect the service. Menu updates according to season because it promotes ingredients that are fresh at the moment. An updated menu helps to attract customers.
- How do you maintain the balance between taste and hygiene?
Cleanliness, hygiene, homey preparation, use of branded spices, seasonal vegetable participation in the menu, diversity of cuisines, and much more are all priorities. Our meals are produced in a sanitary environment, packed and delivered with care, well-presented, and tasty.
- Do you provide home delivery services? If yes, is there any extra cost included in the menu, and how far do you deliver?
Yes, we provide home delivery services to our customers. There is no extra cost for delivering the food. I will provide free delivery services, but if customers want to pick up their food, they can pick by their scheduled time. It offers its services between 15-18 km.
- What are the unique things you keep in mind while packaging food items?
We consider a lot of things while packaging food items. For example, we first ensure foods do not leak or mix with other food items. Hygiene is one of the prime factors considered during the package. Plastic and other plastic material are avoided in containers. Food delivers in eco-friendly and cost-effective materials.
- What services are you providing to your customers?
We provide home-cooked and healthy food to our customers. We deliver our services in our local area. Different types of food items are offered by us. Customers can order for a single thing or more than 20 people at a time. We also offer free delivery services to our customers.
- What is your hygiene regime?
A worker prepares food in a clean and well-maintained kitchen. They also wear caps, gloves, and other things when cooking food. They clean their hands and use fresh oil and ingredients. Before beginning work, between duties, and dealing with food products, equipment, utensils, or linens, ensure employees’ hands are cleansed and thoroughly dried.
- How much do you charge for tiffin service?
We charge 120$ for our tiffin service. No delivery cost is added to this cost. Customers will get two vegetable dishes, rice, and bread, in a parcel. If they order extra, then charges will increase.
- What time will my food be delivered?
We deliver food within 30 minutes on your doorsteps. Customers can track their orders via our food ordering apps. They can connect our delivery staff.
- As an international student, I found the cost of $120 too much as it cost around the same pay as one workday for most of us. Hence, will there be any discounts and offers for students?
This charge is monthly. And yes, there will be discounts and offer for customers who order over $100. They will get 30% off on their orders. Delivery charges will also be free.
- Will there be any weekly or monthly packages that people can look up to since it’ll be easier to book food for one month without worrying about food each day?
Currently, there are no such services. But it will be included in our offers and discount service as the business grows and get more than 100 regular customers.
- As an Indian from the southern part of India, even though chapattis and curries are lovely, it’ll be awesome if you guys could consider south Indian foods like Idli, Dosa, Puttu, etc., at least for one day each week.
We are working on adding different and famous Indian foods from North India to South and from East India to West India. The customers will be able to order different types of food on other days of the week. For example, they can order North-style food each Monday with some Italian foods options. And South Indian-style food will be available each Thursday.
- Is there any chance to create a custom menu for customers?
They can customize their menu, but they have to let us know before. If they can let us know before then, we can prepare the food of their choice and custom the menu, but they cannot demand the new dishes. We will add new items day to day in our menus. They will have different menus according to weekdays.
- In the case of such a custom menu, how much would you charge as extra?
No, the extra charge will be included in this service. They can take benefits of this service without any payments.
- Does your business allow the dine-in option for the customers?
Currently, we are running this business from home. So, the dine-in option for the customer is not available at this time.
- What COVID-19 precautions are you taking while preparing food?
Our staff follows each government and WHS precautions during each business process. Our cooking staff, primarily chefs, are mainly focused on hygiene and other safety precautions during food preparation. Hands, heads, etc., are correctly covered with gloves and caps.
- Do you use organic produce?
All the vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients come from different organic stores and firms.
- Do you have your delivery services, or do you hire other delivery services?
We have delivery services. Our delivery staff delivers your meal at your house’s door and office.
- At present, the price of gas is very high. So, how can you afford free delivery and still make a profit from it in this situation?
Customers are our priority. They would like our free delivery services at their cheapest order too. Many customers are attracted to our business because of our unique service. Regular customers and new customers automatically make our business profitable.
- What are you doing differently from your competitors to attract more customers?
One of the things that make us different from our competitors is the free delivery of services at any order. Affordable rates, proper hygiene, and eco-friendly packaging help attract more customers.
- What if you fail to deliver food within 30 minutes?
Our delivery staff can deliver food within 30 minutes. If they fail to reach your door at this time, then we provide them free of cost.
- What do you do if your customers are unhappy with your services? Do you have any refund policies?
We will apologize to our unhappy customers, and we will assure the customer they will get the best service next time.

These charges are monthly.
- Your marketing plan mentions that your menu includes Indian cuisine and a few items from Italian and Chinese. How do you plan to expand your business to attract customers of other ethnicities?
We are working on adding some more dishes to our food. Indian foods are the primary services of our food. Italian and Chinese foods are the choices of many individuals in our areas.
- According to you, what areas of this business are you facing the most troubles, and how do you plan to overcome them?
The business is not facing any trouble in performing its operations. Sometimes, there is trouble with raw material supply. It can be overcome by arranging a store where materials for 2-3 days will store to run the business effectively.

With an app-based “tiffin delivery” service, we will also offer our customers the freedom to choose their dishes. Different types of people will choose our service, but we will mainly focus on the international students because they do not have enough time to cook food at home during their studies and work.
- How will you make money for your investors?
Apart from capital gains, dividends are another source of income for investors. A company’s profits are distributed to its shareholders in partial or complete dividends. In most situations, the corporation only distributes a portion of revenues to shareholders and maintains the remainder for other objectives, such as development.
- How fast can you grow your business?
We can grow our business in the coming two years. We will increase our staffs, areas for delivering services. We will also have the available number of branches in the different regions of Canada, and we will improve our services with the health and safety rules.
- Who are your competitors in the market? What are your strengths and advantages over your competitors?
We have a lot of competitors like Punjabi Tiffin Service, Sukhmani Foods, Standard Sweets & Snacks, and many more. But we are many unique things that make us distinct from other tiffin based companies. One of the primary and most amazing things is an affordable price. We provide our services at a low cost as compared to others. Second, our food is customized. We cook food according to our customers. For example, if they want fewer spices, we prepare orders accordingly.
- How often do you get feedback from your customers, and what changes have you made based on that feedback?
We get feedback from our customers through our app. We ask for giving the rate and suggestions regarding our services. We value our customers’ feedback and work on it to improve our services. Recently, we added discount offers if they order more than 100 CAD.
- Can you tell me an experience about how a customer has decided to choose you and their experience with your product? Were they satisfied or not with your services? Explain.
Recently, a customer connected us to deliver Indian foods with sweet dishes for a small get-together party at his home. He ordered food for 12-15 people. And we delivered his order at the right time with proper packaging. He was pleased with our services. He has given us a lot of positive feedback on our site. He also posted pictures of our food on his Instagram page and mentioned us.
- What is your marketing strategy to attract your customers?
We use social media strategy to reach or attract our customers. We regularly post on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Several attractive offers like discounts, new food items, a unique menu, and other important information are shared on this page. Word-of-mouth is also our marketing strategy to attract new customers.
- How are you marketing your products and services, and how do you balance its expenses?
We provide a unique sneak peek to our loyal consumers. Our loyal consumers are essential to advertising our product since they are more likely to buy it and tell their friends about it. An exclusive, in-person, or virtual pre-launch party, an internet tour, sample, or demo can all be used to accomplish this. It might also be a unique offer to try it out and provide feedback.
- What areas would you like to improve in your business if I intend to fund your business?
We want to expand our business in other cities. We want to deliver our healthy and nutritious foods to many customers. Secondly, we would also like to improve our marketing to reach maximum numbers of clients.

No, we have a lot of options to funds in my business. Bank loans and Raise Funds by Winning contests and some primary finance sources of our business.
- Since you plan to develop your business in Prince Rupert, north of British Columbia, whereas your headquarters is based in Surrey, how do you plan to manage both companies where physical locations are distant?
We deliver our services in Prince Rupert. Cooking, providing, packaging, etc., are performed at this location. But marketing planning is a financial plan like operations and decisions are done at our headquarter office. And we are moving our business to Vancouver in a few months.
- Since Prince Rupert is a small town and the menu you have prepared is exclusively North Indian, whereas the total Indian population is more minor, how do you plan to do more business without attracting the rest of the Indian people?
We have a plan to set up our business in Vancouver, where many Indian international students, families, and workers live. We are also adding dishes from different regions of India to attract other students.
- How do you plan to compete against healthy fast food services like Pita Pit, Subway, etc., which offer less expensive food and are popular?
We deliver home-made style foods that most of the international students miss and can’t cook due to lack of time. It is our USP that helpful to compete with our healthy fast food services. They can’t eat Pita-Pitlike food daily. If the customers have many healthy and homemade options, they come to us.
- Since the business is established in Canada, how do you plan to attract the Canadian population to our services?
We have many Italian and Chinese food items on our menu that can help us to attract these populations. There are a lot of Indian dishes that are favorite among the Canadian population.
